Almay Intense I-Color shimmer-I kit

I believe I actually received this eye trio as a gift from my mom. This is one product I like but don't love. Usually, I am either one extreme or the other. Either I really love a product or I absolutely hate it.

I got the trio for hazel eyes and it comes with a green shade, a black shade, and a champagne shade. I use the champagne a lot as a brow bone highlight and it works really well for that. I'm sure if I wasn't using the black from my Urban Decay pallette the black would work too. I don't use the green at all just because I'm not a fan of the green eyeshadow look. But the shadows are smooth and well pigmented.

This product retails for anywhere from $4.22 to $7.99. Which is a reasonable price for the quality of the product. I personally probably will not repurchase, but it is a nice product and worth the money.
Let me know down below if you've tried it and what you thought. Also leave a comment telling me what eyeshadows I should try next. Thanks for reading!

Why I Haven't Posted.

Hey guys, I wanted to post a quick update just letting you know that I am in the hospital right now. I went into preterm labor so I might be in here for a while. They managed to stop the labor and I might be able to go home tomorrow.

I will be back to posting as soon as everything settles down. Thanks for reading!

Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Mousse

This is one of my holy grail products! I LOVE this mousse. I bought my first bottle of this product probably two years ago and I have been a loyal customer ever since. I can't count how many bottles of this I have bought so I thought it was only fair to share the wealth and tell you all about this!

I put this product on after I wash my hair, and before I style it while my hair is still damp. It adds so much volume to my hair. With other mousses I have tried, they tend to make my hair kind of crunchy and it looks like I have a lot of product in it. I have never had that problem with this specific mousse.
Another thing I absolutely love about this mousse is the smell. I use the Sunset Citrus Fragrance and the scent is very nice. When I use it my hair smells like oranges all day! Yum!

Pro tip: for extra voluminous hair, apply this mousse to damp hair with head turned upside down. Then, use a round barrel brush to lift hair at the roots while blow drying!

Let me know down below what you think about this mousse, and what are some other products I should try out! Thanks for reading!

L'Oreal True Match Powder

I don't actually use this product as a setting powder, I use it as a contour shade. Which may seem weird but I have a couple reasons for this. Firstly, I found it originally in the discount part of Shopko and they didn't have my shade but they had a shade dark enough it would work to contour. My second reason I didn't discover until I got home and tried out the product, but I noticed it's quite a heavy powder.

It's buttery and goes on very smoothly, though, so I might buy it in my shade and try it as a setting powder. It doesn't have a strong smell, which is definitely a pro. I have come across too many powders that just have a bad, cosmetic smell. Not a fan of that at all.

This product retails for anywhere from $6.24 to $10.95, depending on where you buy it. (I recommend Wal-Mart. That's the cheapest place I have found.) I am very happy with this product and it is definitely something I would consider buying next time I'm in the market for a new powder.

Have you tried it? Let me know down below what you thought. Don't forget to comment some new powders for me to test out. Thanks for reading!

GET READY WITH ME ULTRASOUND ~ PREGNANCY VLOG

Philosophy Ultimate Miracle Worker

I got sent a sample of this product and I received it in the mail last night. I was super excited to try it out, because I have heard mixed reviews on this brand and wanted to see for myself what it was all about.

I opened up the little packet and, unfortunately, there wasn't even enough to really get a feel for the product. I put it on after washing my face and the first thing I noticed was that the formula of this product was really thick. I don't like really thick creams during the day because I wear makeup and I feel like this would make the makeup just melt off my face. So if I were to use this it would be as a night cream, which kind of defeats the purpose of the SPF 30.

It was very moisturizing, though, which I really appreciated. I definitely woke up and my face felt a lot softer than the morning before. This particular product is not something I would purchase a full size of. (0.5 ounces for $28, 2 ounces for $75) But because of how well it moisturized, I am anxious to try out some of the other Philosophy products and see if one of those works better for me.

Let me know down below what other moisturizers have worked for you and new ones I should test out. Thanks for reading!

Swagbucks

Okay guys, this post is going a little away from my usual. Generally, I post about beauty products and review what worked for me and what didn't. But I thought I would share something a little different today. I am sharing this for any stay-at-home moms, college students that are too busy to keep a job, or just anyone who wants to make a little extra cash.

I am talking about swagbucks.com. I love this website and I am not even exaggerating. Basically, what it is is a website that you go on and you take surveys, watch videos, play games, and a lot of other things, and for everything you do you earn swagbucks. The number of swagbucks varies depending on the activity you did, but 100 swagbucks is equal to $1.00.

When you have enough swagbucks and you want to cash out, you can cash out in return for gift cards. They have Amazon gift cards, Target gift cards, Visa gift cards. And that's just naming a few.

Just thought that I would share that with you guys. Check it out. Thanks for reading!

Wet N Wild MegaSlicks Lip gloss

This is the first Wet n Wild product that I have tried. I wanted a new lip gloss and I picked out the color 566 Strawberry Ice.

I was not altogether unhappy with this product. It is a pretty color, and it has pretty good pigmentation. The formula smells nice, it has almost a fruity scent with hints of vanilla.
One problem I have had with these lipglosses is they are very sticky. Stickiness is something I absolutely hate in a lipgloss.

I personally will not be repurchasing, just because I hate the feeling of having sticky lip gloss on my lips. That said, in my opinion, for $1.99 there isn't a whole lot to complain about here. So if you are looking for a super affordable lip gloss and don't mind a sticky consistency, then I would definitely recommend this one.

What lip glosses have worked for you? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading!

Urban Decay Primer Potion

Another holy grail product here. I have nothing bad to say about the formula of this. It is the best eye primer I have tried. I got my first  sample of this when I got my Urban Decay Ammo pallet. I absolutely fell in love with it.

It makes your eye makeup last all day and it makes the colors look gorgeous and vibrant. I could not believe it the first time I put it on. Take my word for it, use this and your eyeshadow is not going anywhere. Below is the difference between the eyeshadows from the Urban Decay Ammo pallet with and without the primer potion.
For those wondering, the champagne color is called Maui Wowie and the reddish-purple color is Last Call. As I said they come in the ammo pallet but you can also buy them separately on the Urban Decay website.

The only downside is it is quite pricey! For the squeeze tube, which is about 0.37 fl oz, it's $20. It comes in the original shade, which I prefer because it dries invisible. It also comes in Eden, Sin, and Greed. Here are some swatches:

All things considered, if you don't mind splurging a little for the sake of beautiful makeup, this is definitely something I would reccomend. Absolutely gorgeous. I am very excited to try out more Urban Decay products in the future. Comment down below if you want me to do a comparison between this primer and some of the drugstore ones. Also let me know if you have a primer that I should try out. Thanks for reading!

Avon Extra Lasting Liquid Foundation

One of my most recent beauty purchases has made enough of an impression on me that I have decided to post a review on it after only a month of use. The product I am referring to is the extra lasting liquid foundation from Avon.

If you have never heard of Avon or have heard of it and have never tried it, Avon is a cosmetics company that has (for the most part) good quality, affordable product.

However, I am not all that impressed with this liquid foundation. I have been trying it, as I said, for about a month now and it just is not a good foundation. It has a grainy texture. I find that it is very drying on my skin and feels extremely uncomfortable. It also tends to crease and look very cakey. It goes on looking like it matches my skin, but sets very orangey later on in the day. Below are two pictures. The first is a picture of my bare face with no foundation, and the second is with the Extra Lasting Liquid Foundation.

As you can see it has medium to light coverage, which I usually prefer to full coverage. It did a good job of covering the redness on my cheeks, chin, and forehead, but did nothing for the discoloration around my eyes and mouth.

It does have a few redeeming qualities though. The first being that it is long lasting. I have worn this foundation for a full day and did not require touch-ups. Secondly, it has SPF 12 which is something that I personally like in a foundation and is what drew me to this foundation in the first place. I am also a fan of the pump because a lot of affordable foundations have a pour spout.

I bought it on sale for $9.99 but the normal price is $12.50 and honestly, for the price, it's not worth it.I might try mixing it with a moisturizer to make a BB cream so that I get my money's worth, but I will most definitely not be repurchasing. Leave a comment below with a foundation for me to try next. And if you've tried this foundation, let me know what you thought.

The Huggies Glass Debacle

Earlier this month, I stumbled across a video in which Melissa Estrella, a mother from Camarillo, California expresses concern after finding what she says is glass or fiberglass in her package of Huggies wipes.

(While writing this article I searched for the original video online and couldn't find it. I'm not sure if it was removed but I was not able to locate it for you guys so I'm sorry if you haven't already seen it.)

After searching online to see what Huggies had to say about this, I found that they said that this wasn't glass and was in fact shiny fibers created during the manufacturing process. They informed worried parents that they could find answers to any further questions at https://www.huggies.com/en-us/wipes-faq

I had recently purchased this container of Huggies wipes for the son I am expecting come November. I had chosen this one because of the Winnie The Pooh packaging. I just thought it was so cute!
Of course I opened my it to investigate further and found that, yes, there were small, rough patches on the wipes. I tested a couple different ones and found that they all had this problem. What I found didn't feel like glass, and instead felt like a small chunk of hardened glue or just a rough patch in the wipe. Below are two different wipes that I tried out. You can see in the picture between my fingers where the rough patches are.

In conclusion, although I found no glass in my box of Huggies wipes, I was unhappy with how rough they were and would not use them on my sensitive newborn's bum because of the patches and chunks of glue. I am glad that I purchased Pampers wipes as my refills and I will hopefully like those better. I will do a review on them when I open them. Leave a comment below and tell me if you had a problem with Huggies wipes and leave suggestions of new brands of wipes that have worked for you in the past. Thanks for reading!

Welcome To My Blog

I don't know about you but I think it's the worst thing ever when you buy a product that you're super hyped to try, because maybe your favorite YouTube guru says it's God's gift to the world, or you saw a commercial on T.V. and you just had to have it, and then it turns out to be the worst thing you have ever used.

As a mom, I know how it is to not have a whole lot of extra money lying around and wasting it is a pain in the butt. That's why I'm here. I try out products, write up a review with my honest opinion, and voila, no more guessing. Send me a message or leave me a comment down below if you have any products you want me to review. I will also do comparisons on products, and check out myths about products. Enjoy!
